CHILDHOOD NUTRITION SPEAKER

Expand your childhood nutrition knowledge from an expert.

As an experienced pediatric dietitian and mom, I am uniquely qualified to combine the science of nutrition with the practical, real-life applications of feeding kids. I get it, feeding kids is hard. I use my experience working with families to provide actionable steps to improve nutrition for kids of all ages.

From babies to big kids, I take a realistic approach to education, including both the nutrition needs of the child and the feeding environment. These principles are evident in each speaking engagement or workshop that I lead. I am available for both professional and intimate/small groups and tailor each presentation to the needs of my clients.

What Others Have To Say

“I attended Jessica’s workshop titled: Nourishing the child from 6-24 months-An interactive workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed the topic and her as a speaker. The lecture was full of current scientific research and user-friendly tips for advising and teaching future clients. Jessica is a dynamic and engaging speaker. I learned the current schools of traditional feeding for babies as well as, baby led-weaning. Jessica went in-depth on critical nutrients for infant development, important foods, allergies, feeding techniques and supplemental needs. Although I do not work with infants or toddlers I find this topic and the information I learned very valuable because I work with pregnant women and often these questions come up in counseling sessions. I am looking forward to additional workshops with Jessica!”

–Andrea Hughes, MS, RDN, CDE (Pregnancy Nutrition Expert and Diabetes Educator)

“My interns and I attended Jessica’s workshop on Starting Solids and it was fantastic. She was a thorough yet engaging speaker and covered the topic well. I am so happy that myself and my interns were able to attend this workshop, and learn from her there and through her mentoring program.”

–Rachael Drake, MS, RD (Dietetic Internship Director, Atascadero State Hospital)

“Having little knowledge and experience with pediatric nutrition, I was eager and excited to participate in Jessica’s Nourishing the Child from 6-24 Months workshop. Jessica is an excellent presenter. Not only were her slides clean, easy to read, and informative, but the information was accessible, understandable, and presented in a way to keep the audience engaged. The adorable pictures she included of both her clients and of her own daughter added a very nice personal touch to her presentation, allowing the audience to feel connected to her work and to her practice. Because Jessica’s presentation was clear, understandable, and enjoyable to listen to, I feel confident I was able to retain the information she provided and will use it in my future practice as a nutrition educator. Jessica is clearly very knowledgable when it comes to feeding and eating practices and on overall sound nutrition for infants and children. She was also able to answer all participants’ questions in a clear and compassionate way. While the workshop was several hours long, Jessica was very skilled at breaking up the workshop with activities to get the audience involved and to keep them engaged, allowing us to put what we were learning into practice in real time while also engaging with other professionals. I would recommend Jessica’s workshop to any health or nutrition professional, at any level of knowledge on these topics, as she is a great resource and asset to the nutrition community. Thanks again, Jessica!”
